# Transaction Status Callback

A webhook delivered to your configured URL when any transaction reaches a terminal state — no polling required.

This callback is triggered whenever a transaction reaches a terminal state. Terminal states indicate that the transaction has completed processing and no further status transitions are expected.

Callbacks are sent for the following transaction types:

* Collections
* Fund Transfers
* Refunds

The callback notifies the merchant of the final outcome of the transaction, which can be either:

* <mark style="color:$primary;">**SUCCESS**</mark> – The transaction was successfully processed.
* <mark style="color:$danger;">**FAILED**</mark> – The transaction could not be completed.

Merchants should consume this callback to update their internal transaction records and reconcile transaction statuses.

The API includes:

* Real-time terminal state alerts
* Covers payouts, collections & refunds
* Full transaction details in payload
* UTR included on success

### Callback Delivery

* The callback is delivered as an **HTTP POST** request to the merchant's configured callback URL.
* Merchants should respond with **HTTP 200 OK** upon successful receipt and processing of the callback.
